Artistic Gymnastics

About Our Program
Every class is taught by a professionally trained, safety certified instructor. Staff members are First Aid and CPR certified, and hold various certifications from USA Gymnastics.
Elite offers preschool and recreational instruction as well as the opportunity to join our competitive team. Our classes run in 10-week sessions and are subject to availability. Registration is open at any time, and is pro-rated for late entrants.

 

GIRLS ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS

Girls Beginner (K-1st Grade, 2nd-3rd Grade, 4th & up)
This class will focus on the basic fundamental skills of gymnastics. Students
will begin class with a locomotor warm up designed to build coordination,
agility & flexibility. Instruction on the apparatus (Uneven Bars, Balance Beam,
Floor Exercise & Vault) begins after the warm up. Trampoline & Tumbltrak
will sometimes be used as well. Many students stay in the Beginner class 2-3
sessions, but it is not unusual to take longer to master the strength and skills
necessary to advance (60 minutes).
Girls SuperKids (K-1st Grade, 1st -3rd Grade, 3rd & up)
A greater focus on strength conditioning & technique begin in this level.
Students will also spend more time on flexibility while developing their skills.
Students generally stay in the class 3-5 sessions, but sometimes additional
sessions are necessary (90 minutes)
Girls Hotshots (K-1st Grade, 1st -3rd Grade, 3rd & up)
Hotshots classes meet twice a week for 90 minutes each class. Flexibility &
strength will be gained while focusing on detailed drills & skills for long term
development. Many students in Hotshots will aspire to our Pre-competitive
program. For students not wishing to dedicate the time necessary for competitive
gymnastics we offer a once a week class. It is expected to be part
of the Hotshots program for an entire year.
Girls PreTeam
As the name suggests, students will learn the skills required to become part
of our Level 3 competitive team. Preteam classes meet twice a week for 1.5-2
hours each class. Students do not compete or learn full routines, but will
spend time mastering the Level 3 skills as determined by USA Gymnastics.

 

GIRLS COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS

XCel Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum Levels
Athletes have the opportunity to attend classes 2-4 times a week. This is a
year round program offering girls the opportunity to create individual routines.
The competition season usually lasts January through April. Summer &
Fall training are spent developing skills & routines for the upcoming season.

Junior Olympic Program Levels 3-10
This program leads towards high level competitive gymnastics. Athletes
must commit to 3 practices a week (level 4 & up) and train year round.
The competition season begins in late fall/early winter and culminates with
a State Championship in late spring. Higher level teams will travel to several
out of state competitions.

 

BOYS ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS

Super Heroes (4 yrs – kindergarten)
This class is a perfect fit for your young superhero with lots of energy. Boys
will burn off energy while gaining coordination, strength and flexibility that
will translate to all sports (60 minutes).
Boys Beginner (1st -3rd Grade, 3rd & up)
This class will focus on the basic fundamental skills of gymnastics. Students
will begin class with a locomotor warm up designed to build coordination,
agility & flexibility. Instruction on the apparatus (Floor Exercise, Rings,
Parallel Bars, Vault, Pommel Horse & High Bar) begins after the warm up.
Trampoline & Tumbltrak will sometimes be used as well (60 minutes).

Boys SuperKids (K – 2nd Grade, 3rd & up)
A greater focus on strength conditioning & technique begin in this level.
Students generally stay in the class 3-5 sessions, but sometimes additional
sessions are necessary (75 minutes).
Boys Hotshots (K – 2nd Grade, 3rd & up)
Flexibility & strength will be gained while focusing on detailed drills & skills
for long term development. Many students in Hotshots will aspire to our
Pre-competitive program. It is expected to be a part of the Hotshots
program for an entire year.

 

BOYS COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS

We offer competitive teams in both GIJO/AAU
practiced 2-4 days a week with competitions in the Spring.
